Manage Your Subscription

Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your IndexMind subscription. Update payment methods and download invoices through the Stripe customer portal.

All subscription management happens through the Stripe customer portal, which you access from IndexMind's Settings page. You can upgrade, downgrade, cancel, update payment methods, and download invoices from a single interface.

How to access the Stripe portal

  1. Open Settings

    Click the gear icon in the sidebar or navigate to Settings from the user menu.

  2. Go to the Billing tab

    Select the Billing tab. You will see your current plan, usage summary, and next billing date.

  3. Click Manage Subscription

    Click the Manage Subscription button. This opens the Stripe customer portal in a new tab. You will be authenticated automatically.

Upgrade your plan

  1. Open the Stripe portal

    Follow the steps above to access the Stripe customer portal.

  2. Select a new plan

    Click Update plan and choose your target tier (Starter or Pro).

  3. Confirm and pay

    Review the prorated charge and confirm. Your new plan takes effect immediately. Higher limits are available for your next analysis run.

Upgrades are prorated. You only pay the difference between your current plan and the new plan for the remaining days in your billing cycle.

Downgrade your plan

  1. Open the Stripe portal

    Access the Stripe customer portal from Settings > Billing.

  2. Select a lower plan

    Click Update plan and choose the lower tier.

  3. Confirm the change

    The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep access to your current plan's features until then.

If you downgrade and your current usage exceeds the lower plan's limits (for example, you have 4 projects but are moving to the Free plan's 1-project limit), your existing projects and data are preserved. You will need to archive extra projects before you can create new ones.

Cancel your subscription

  1. Open the Stripe customer portal from Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Cancel plan.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.

Your plan remains active until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. All projects and reports are retained, but limits revert to Free-tier levels.

Update payment method

  1. Open the Stripe customer portal.
  2. Click Payment methods.
  3. Add a new card or update the existing one.

Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and most major credit and debit cards.

Download invoices

  1. Open the Stripe customer portal.
  2. Click Billing history.
  3. Click the download icon next to any invoice to get a PDF.

Common questions

Will I lose my data if I cancel? Your projects, reports, and scan history are preserved when you cancel. Your account reverts to the Free plan with its associated limits.
