Fix Recommendations
Work with IndexMind's auto-generated fix suggestions. Approve, dismiss, or export recommendations to your workflow tools.
IndexMind generates specific, actionable recommendations for every issue it identifies during analysis. Many recommendations include auto-generated fixes: code snippets, content changes, or configuration updates that you can apply directly or send to your development team.
How recommendations work
After each analysis, IndexMind produces a prioritized list of recommendations. Each recommendation targets a specific issue affecting one of the four scoring pillars (Content Quality, Technical SEO, AI Visibility, Citation Authority).
Recommendations fall into four priority levels:
| Priority | Typical impact | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | 5+ point score increase | Missing structured data on key pages, broken canonical tags, zero AI visibility for core queries |
| High | 2 to 5 point increase | Thin content on high-traffic pages, missing meta descriptions, outdated schema markup |
| Medium | 1 to 2 point increase | Suboptimal heading structure, missing alt text, slow page load times |
| Low | Less than 1 point | Minor formatting issues, redundant tags, optional schema enhancements |
Reviewing a recommendation
Open the Recommendations tab
Navigate to your project dashboard and click the Recommendations tab. Items are sorted by priority (Critical first).
Expand a recommendation
Click any recommendation to see its full details: why it matters, which pages are affected, and the suggested fix.
Review the auto-generated fix
If a fix is available, it appears in a code block or content diff. Review it carefully. IndexMind generates these using AI, so verify they match your site's conventions and standards.
Take action
Choose one of three actions: Approve, Dismiss, or Export (see below).
Approving a fix
Click Approve to mark a recommendation as accepted. This does two things:
- Moves the recommendation to the "Approved" state in your dashboard.
- If you have an integration connected, creates a task in your project management tool with the fix details included.
Approving a fix does not automatically apply changes to your website. You or your team must implement the changes manually. IndexMind will verify the fix on your next analysis run and mark it as resolved if the issue is gone.
Dismissing a recommendation
Click Dismiss if a recommendation is not relevant to your use case. Dismissed items move to a separate "Dismissed" section and are excluded from your score improvement projections. You can restore dismissed items at any time.
Dismissing a recommendation does not affect your current score. It only removes the item from your active recommendations list. The underlying issue still impacts your score until it is resolved.
Exporting recommendations
You can export recommendations individually or in bulk:
- Single export. Click the share icon on any recommendation to send it to your connected integration as a task.
- Bulk export. Select multiple recommendations using the checkboxes, then click Share All to ClickUp (or your connected tool) to create tasks for all selected items at once.
- PDF download. Click Download at the top of the Recommendations tab to export the full list as a PDF.
Each exported task includes the recommendation title, priority, affected pages, why it matters, how to fix it, and relevant code samples when available.
Tracking progress
As your team implements fixes, run new analyses to verify the changes. IndexMind automatically detects resolved issues and updates the recommendation status. The scan history comparison view shows which recommendations were resolved between runs.
Next steps
- Connect integrations to streamline the export workflow.
- Run a new analysis after implementing fixes to measure your improvement.
