Run Your First Analysis
Run a full analysis on your project and understand the results.
An IndexMind analysis is a comprehensive evaluation of your website's AI visibility. It combines three stages to produce a detailed picture of how AI systems perceive your site:
- Crawl: IndexMind crawls your website to discover pages, extract content, and map your site architecture.
- Probes: AI-powered probes test how large language models and AI assistants interpret, summarize, and recommend your content.
- AI Scoring: The results are scored across multiple dimensions to produce your AI Optimization Score and pillar breakdown.
Starting an analysis
Navigate to your project dashboard
After creating a project, you are taken to the project dashboard automatically. You can also reach it by clicking the project name from your main dashboard at any time.
Run the analysis
Click the "Run Full Analysis" button on your project dashboard. If this is a brand-new project, IndexMind may start the first analysis automatically after setup completes.
The analysis runs in the background, so you can stay on the page to watch progress in real time or navigate away and come back later. IndexMind will notify you when results are ready.
Dashboard: analysis in progress
Understanding the results
Once the analysis finishes, your dashboard updates with a full scorecard.
AI Optimization Score
Your AI Optimization Score is a single number from 0 to 100 that represents how well your website is positioned for AI visibility. A higher score means AI systems are more likely to accurately understand, cite, and recommend your content.
Four-pillar breakdown
The overall score is composed of four pillars, each scored independently:
| Pillar | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Content Quality | How well your content is written, structured, and aligned with the topics AI models associate with your domain. |
| Conversion Experience | Whether your site provides clear calls to action, trust signals, and a smooth user journey that AI systems can recognize. |
| Info Architecture | How your pages are organized, linked, and labeled, making it easy for AI crawlers to navigate and index your content. |
| Technical Health | Core web performance, schema markup, accessibility, and other technical factors that affect AI discoverability. |
Dashboard: score overview
Exploring the tabs
Your project dashboard organizes insights across several tabs:
- Overview: Your AI Optimization Score, pillar breakdown, top opportunities, and a high-level summary of findings.
- Recommendations: Prioritized, actionable fixes grouped by impact. Each recommendation includes what to fix, why it matters, and how to do it.
- AI Visibility: Detailed probe results, search performance, content gaps, cohort tracking, and URL health — all accessible via sub-navigation pills within this tab.
- Sentiment: AI-generated sentiment analysis of how your brand is perceived across LLM outputs and public data sources.
- Competitor Analysis: Side-by-side comparison of your AI visibility against competitors in your industry and keyword space.
- Reports: Downloadable reports you can share with your team, clients, or stakeholders.
When Google Search Console is connected, the AI Visibility tab also surfaces Search Performance (winners, losers, device/country breakdowns), Content Gaps (queries where AI and Google disagree), Cohort Tracking (page maturity analysis), and URL Health (indexing and mobile usability checks).
Next steps
Now that your first analysis is complete, here are some recommended paths forward:
- Core Concepts: Understand the scoring model, probe types, and how IndexMind evaluates AI visibility in depth.
- Search Intelligence: Connect Google Search Console to unlock cross-analysis between organic search data and AI visibility.
- Configure Bob: Configure Bob, the IndexMind AI assistant, to help you prioritize and implement recommendations.
- MCP Integration: Connect IndexMind to your development workflow via the Model Context Protocol for automated fixes and monitoring.
Your first analysis may take a few minutes depending on your site size. Larger sites with hundreds of pages will take longer to crawl and probe. You can monitor progress from the dashboard in real time.
